Keeping the students abreast with the latest issues, we organized an Inter Club English Declamation Competition for the students of grades 6 to 8. The competition aimed to promote the skills of effective public speaking. The participants enthusiastically expressed their views on the topics related to current issues. The students were prepared for the competition under the tutelage of their respective Club In charges and teachers. The contest witnessed a neck to neck struggle of dexterous articulation between participants, applauded by all. Even the judges had a tough time deciding the winner of the competition.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE BUDDHA PURNIMA WITH A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

The month of May marks an important event, ‘Budh Purnima’. The special assembly for the month of May was organized by the students of Grade 7. The assembly started with the Morning Prayer followed by the news headlines and thought for the day. A speech on the ‘Budh Purnima’ was delivered by the students. They participated wholeheartedly by making the audience aware about the importance of this day through a skit based on one of the important events in Buddha’s life. The assembly was addressed by our Principal Ms. Ragini Mansukhani. She encouraged the students with her motivating words.

EXPLORING CREATIVE POTENTIAL WITH DRAWING & COLOURING COMPETITION

Happiness comes from creative efforts. The joy of dreaming, creating and expressing your thoughts by drawing and painting is unparalleled. Keeping this in mind and to explore the creative potential in the young minds of our children, Presidium, Hisar organised an Intra-class Drawing and Colouring Competition for Grades 1 to 3. It was a day where we saw creativity exploding in every piece of art. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to think out of the box. The competition not only served its sole purpose but also gave them a platform to display their vivid ideas. The students had shown significant creativity via drawing and colouring as every student’s work was remarkable.

ORATORS GIVE WORDS TO THOUGHTS AT EXTEMPORE COMPETITION

Extempore is the art of public speaking that is carried out without preparation or forethought. It assists the students not only in thinking on their own but also in voicing their creative ideas with precision. To imbibe a true spirit of learning in Presidians and to enhance the communication skills in them, an Inter Club Extempore Competition was held at Presidium School. The topics in the competition were associated with current affairs. The judgement was done on the basis of content, relevance to the topic, confidence, clarity of speech, time management, use of language and grammar, presence of mind and body language. The competition thrilled everyone and gave life long learning lessons.

ON MOTHER’S DAY, PRESIDIANS BOW TO GREATEST SOULS IN THIS WORLD!

The students of Presidium, Hisar presented a special assembly on Mother’s Day. It was to honor the contribution of all mother figures in exhibiting their unconditional love and for being in this world as a precious gift of God. Mother’s Day is a special day for all children and mothers as it celebrates the bond of love and affection that is everlasting. Students expressed their love and devotion towards the dignity of motherhood through a delightful combination of music and dance. The highlight of the assembly was a heart touching skit and a dance which was appreciated by all the students and teachers. The Principal of the school, Ms. Ragni Mansukhani said that Mothers are the definition of pure love! They are the epitome of forgiveness and strength. All admiration and gratitude to Mother figures!

VISIT TO CONSTRUCTION SITE TEACHES STUDENTS ABOUT ARCHITECTURE

To teach the Presidians about the basic process of construction by observing the real life examples of a working space, a visit to the construction site was organised for the students of Grade 4. The main objective of this visit was to give a chance to students to learn by witnessing different types of machinery and their uses. Students gained more information about the types of buildings and what material is needed to construct a building by asking questions to the supervisors and people working at the construction site. This visit certainly fulfilled the aim of the Presidium curriculum that fosters project based learning among students.

PRESIDIANS SPREAD LOVE & HAPPINESS ON WORLD DANCE DAY

Presidium Hisar conducted a special assembly on ‘World Dance Day’ with great zeal.
Students of Grade X hosted the assembly. A special guest performer, Mr. Jigyasu who is a renowned Kathak Dancer, graced the event and presented a mesmerising classical performance. The students also presented different forms of dance including classical and western which fascinated everyone. The event was marked with a kaleidoscope of different dance forms. All the dancers were deeply appreciated for their love and passion towards dance by the Principal, Ms. Ragni Mansukhani. She discussed that
dancing has multiple health benefits such as improved heart and lungs, increased muscular
strength, endurance and motor fitness. Most importantly, it makes us feel happy!

CELEBRATING THE HARD WORK OF ALL WORKERS ON LABOUR DAY

Presidium, Hisar celebrated International Labour day on 1 st May, 2019. The objective was to
teach children about the importance and value of Labour Day. A special assembly was
conducted by the students which started with a welcoming note and a presentation about
the history of the Labour Day through a play – giving tribute to the working class. Students
also expressed their gratitude to them through a speech. Towards the end, Principal Ms. Ragni Mansukhani thanked all the didis and bhaiyas present in the school and acknowledged
them by presenting beautiful handmade cards for their services and ceaseless efforts.

PRESIDIANS PLEDGE TO TAKE CARE OF THE PLANET THIS EARTH DAY!

“Mother Earth is the culmination of multiple and diverse energies, which is brought together to create a rich aesthetic experience with a message of harmony and co-existence”. As a step towards inspiring, educating and motivating children to act, a special assembly was Held to commemorate Earth Day. This was followed by the thought for the day and News. Post this; the children recited a soulful poem on understanding our duties towards Mother Earth as a responsible citizen. The day also marked planting of saplings in the garden by the Principal, Ms. Ragni Mansukhani along with students. Planting a tree is a great way to celebrate Earth Day. When people plant trees they are doing more than just beautifying an area. Trees are beneficial to the environment in numerous ways. They help produce oxygen and filter out pollutants to clean the air. The assembly concluded with a message emphasizing not only on the importance of conserving natural resources but on observing each day as an Earth day.

RHYME RECITATION COMPETITION: LITTLE ORATORS SHOWCASE CONFIDENCE

‘Poem Recitation is a mode of expression, a medium to reflect the latent talents of the
young ones.’
Rhymes can prove to be instrumental stepping stones for young children to learn English. These help them especially in the early stages of learning the language. With this thought in
mind, Presidium, Hisar organised an Intra-class Poem Recitation competition for Grades 1 to 3.
All the children who participated in this competition came prepared with different rhymes of
their choice with diverse themes. Each child was given a chance to recite a rhyme and it was a
delight to hear these little ones singing in rhythm. The parameters for judging the children were
Audibility, Clarity, Confidence and Expressions. Overall, the participants showed their
confidence, expressions and talent in the competition and enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
