Languages are the most powerful instruments of preserving and developing our tangible and intangible heritage!
To show the importance and the value of dissemination of mother tongues, and to encourage linguistic diversity and multilingual education, a special assembly was recently conducted at Presidium, Hisar by the students of grade 1. The assembly also highlighted Social Justice Day, wherein it was emphasized that it is an underlying principle for peaceful and prosperous coexistence within and among nations. The assembly commenced with sharing the significance of days through thoughts and speeches. Later, a quiz based on some general facts about these days was conducted. The knowledge of laws, rights and duties was also disseminated among children. It was truly, an immersion learning experience for the leaders of tomorrow!

ROLE PLAY COMPETITION: A GRAND SPECTACLE OF ENTHUSIASM & ENERGY

Drama and role play are fun-filled exercises that can be used successfully in any area of the curriculum!
Considering that drama is a valuable tool for exploring issues, making learning memorable, encouraging cooperation and showcasing different skills, a role play competition was recently conducted for our grade 3 students at Presidium, Hisar. The spectators witnessed high enthusiasm and energy of the young Presidians with their performances. The students came dressed up in beautiful attires of well-known personalities such as Bhagat Singh, Jhansi ki Rani and Anarkali. They enacted their roles very well and their confidence and enthusiasm simply left the audience spellbound.

MAHASHIVRATRI INFUSES THE SPIRIT OF DEVOTION IN PRESIDIUM

Lord Shiva is the creator, destroyer and preserver of the universe!
To feel the verve of the festival Mahashivratri, which celebrates the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, a special assembly was recently conducted by our grade 1 students in the premises of Presidium, Hisar. The assembly commenced with an invocation to the almighty in the form of a prayer. The students then shared the significance of the day through thoughts, speeches and further conducted a quiz based on some general facts about Mahashivratri. To add to the glory of celebration, the students, dressed up in beautiful attires, danced to the tune of ‘Satyam Shivam Sundram’. They enchanted the mantra 'Om Namah Shivay' and wished that Lord Shiva blesses all with grace, knowledge, peace, and prosperity.

AD MAD COMPETITION BRINGS OUT THE CREATIVE SIDE OF PRESIDIANS

To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong!
To provide students a space to demonstrate their understanding of the world of advertisement, an Inter-Class Ad Mad Competition was recently organized at Presidium, Hisar. The young Presidians not only showcased their creativity and ability to perform, but also acquainted them with the promotional strategies in marketing through advertisements. The students came up with some wonderful jingles and advertisements that had a fun quotient and in the process, we discovered some budding actors as well. All the participants presented innovative advertisement on various topics. The live advertisements had excellent input of humour along with commercial and social messages. It was a learning experience for the Presidians!

PRESIDIUM BOLDLY JOINS FIGHT AGAINST CANCER ON WORLD CANCER DAY

Don’t count the days, make the days count!
To mark the World Cancer Day and create awareness about cancer, a special assembly was organized by the students of grade 4 at Presidium, Hisar. Calling the audience to to unite in the fight against cancer, the assembly was an attempt to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about the disease. The Presidians performed a skit to create the awareness about the cause and symptoms of the disease. A wonderful sharing by administrator, Mr. Gaurav Chhabra regarding his fight with cancer enlightened the students with the fact that cancer is curable by determination, will power and timely medical treatment.

PRESIDIANS PROUDLY PAY TRIBUTE TO MAHATMA GANDHI ON MARTYR'S DAY

Marking the special occasion of Martyr’s Day, a special assembly was recently organized at Presidium, Hisar, which started by paying a floral tribute to the Father of the Nation - Mahatma Gandhi, amidst rendition of his favourite devotional song ‘raghupati raghav raja ram’. Inspirational thoughts of Gandhi Ji reverberated through the atrium, as students shared their thoughts, followed by the word of the day and news. A small skit on Gandhi Ji’s life was enacted by the students to emphasize and instigate moral principles of truthfulness and non- violence. The assembly was culminated by a very soul stirring dance performance on the lyrics ‘Gandhi tujhe naman’ to pay homage to Bapu by the students. A two minutes silence was observed at 11 am as a tribute to the great leader, as the perfect ending to the assembly.

Presidium Hisar recently organized a special assembly on the theme of ‘World Tourism Day’ wherein the students showcased different tourist destinations of India. Not only was the assembly very informative & interesting, it witnessed sheer enthusiasm from the students. Looking absolutely dapper, they were dressed in different attires representing the diverse states of the India. The students learnt that exploring new places enhances general knowledge and bridges cross cultural differences. It also widens their horizons about the religious beliefs, monumental structures, history, current events, culture and heritage of diverse states.

To rejoice the festive season, Presidium School, Hisar recently organized a ‘Winter Carnival’ on the school grounds which buzzed with activities, fun, and excitement. The students along with their teachers put up game stalls with games so enticing that everybody wished to try hands at them. The students showcased their artistic skills and creative abilities through the unbelievable conceptualisation of fun games. On the other hand, the colouring competition and the fashion & baby show drew a lot of attention from the audience. The magical air with enjoyment at its peak made our carnival an extremely memorable one.

Presidium believes that every child is unique and talented! Giving our young students of grades 6 to 9 a platform to showcase their talent, a Talent Hunt Competition was recently organized at Presidium, Hisar. The competition not only nurtured the intrinsic qualities of students, but also removed the fear of stage among the students. Each student was given the opportunity to exhibit his/her skills and their untapped reservoir of talent in dance, music, recitation, acting and mime simply spellbound the audience. The participants proved their mettle in creativity, diction, pronunciation, voice modulation and confidence. It was a wonderful experience as all the students performed to the best of their ability!

Girls with dreams become women with vision!
Packed with this very notion, our students of grade 3 recently conducted a special assembly on National Girl Child Day to lay down emphasis on eradicating social discrimination and exploitation that girls face in their life. They talked about women's right for equality and fundamental freedom. With an aim to motivate people for motivating the girl child, the students performed a skit focusing on her right to be born. It concluded on the note that if given a chance, she can become an agent of change!
