“A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance”
The long awaited summer camp of Presidium Hisar was finally organised in the month of May. Students from several renowned schools participated in the camp in an attempt to spend their summer vacation for uncovering new vistas of learning. In a very well thought out plan, there were activities which were age specific as well as focused towards developing the fine skills of young learners. Drawing, craft work, swimming, skating, taekwondo, music, and dance, were among the most enjoyable activities that captivated the students. The camp undoubtedly had something in store for everyone leaving them with memories of a lifetime, good learning and new friendships.

To teach the Presidians about the basic process of construction by observing the real example of working space, a visit to the construction site was organised for the students of grade 4. The main objective of this visit was to give a chance to students to learn by witnessing different types of machineries and their uses. The little inquisitive minds asked questions to the supervisors and people working at the construction site to gain more information and learn from their experience. This visit certainly fulfilled the aim of the Presidium curriculum that fosters project based learning among students.

To serve as an ideal platform for facilitating an exchange of ideas among the student fraternity, an inter club declamation contest was conducted for the students of grade 6 to 8. The dynamic participants mesmerized the audience with their vibrant oratory skills and displayed confidence, enthusiasm and awareness while speaking about the diverse topics given to them.

In an attempt to explore the world of telecommunication that has changed the world completely in today’s time and has given new dimensions to the modes & ways of communication, a special assembly on World Telecommunication Day was recently organized. The students highlighted the revolution that has happened in the world of telecommunication, starting from the times when communication happened through letters and pigeons to the electronic transmission of messages in the present times, through placard presentation. It was indeed an informative discussion and students could reflect on how easy it has become in the present times to deliver messages.

At Presidium Hisar, the students are always taught to respect and uphold with utmost care, all the relationships in their lives, be it parents, peers or teachers. This Mother’s Day, students of grade 7 conducted a morning assembly specially dedicated to the love for mothers and the role they play in our lives. The thought highlighted the passion with which a mother always cares for her child irrespective of the child’s age. This was followed by a short talk tracing the origin of the idea of dedicating a day to all mothers. Presidians also performed a skit to show how much they appreciate the small and big things their mothers do for them and their families. The assembly culminated with a sweet song dedicated to mothers, leaving the audience and students extremely touched.
