GIRL CHILD DAY: PRESIDIANS HIGHLIGHT THE NEED FOR GIRL EDUCATION

Presidium Hisar organized a special assembly on National Girl Child Day. The assembly commenced with an invocation to the almighty, the students then shared the significance of the day through thoughts and speeches. They were also asked an array of questions related to the special day. Presidians highlighted the fact “No girl-No mother-ultimately no life” and expressed that education is neither a privilege nor a favour but a basic human right to which all girls and women are entitled. A poem titled “Let me live, let me bloom” was also recited. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Shalini Chaudhary appreciated the efforts of the students and also shared the popular belief that if you educate a man you educate an individual but if you educate a woman you educate a nation.

PRESIDIANS FEEL PROUD & INSPIRED AS THEY CELEBRATE ARMY DAY

Students of Presidium Hisar celebrated Army Day by conducting a special assembly. The assembly began with a beautiful thought on ‘determination and loyalty’ that we should imbibe from the lives of our soldiers. Students of Grade 1 explained how soldiers fight day and night for our safety with the help of a musical skit as a special tribute to our valiant soldiers who risk and sacrifice their lives to guard our country. Presidians were happy and proud to have had the opportunity to show their gratitude to the Indian Army – men who, willingly and selflessly, are always ready to sacrifice their lives for the country and serve us with a smile.

THE ECHOES OF HYMNS & CAROLS ADD THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

Students celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm and zeal. They reflected upon the teachings of Jesus Christ and his life. The cultural programme started with the prayers to Almighty. Students of Pre- nursery to Prep sang carols. The students attired as Santa Claus, reindeers, shepherds etc. attracted the attention of all. Students sang Jingle Bells and danced to the numbers like ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas’ in adding to the festive mood. The whole school echoed with the holy hymns recited by the students. Everybody prayed for the permanent existence of love and peace in the world.

‘The study of mathematics, like the Nile, begins in minuteness but ends in magnificence.’ Mathematics is a dynamic subject. It challenges us to new horizons and forces us to look at new goals. For an enjoyable experience of mathematics, we at Presidium try to relate the subject to the environment and focus on
the development of thinking and reasoning skills. Keeping this in mind, a special assembly showcasing numbers and mathematical operations was conducted for the students of grade 3. A speech on Indian mathematicians was also presented. Students enthusiastically participated in the puzzle and activities. Towards the end of the event, Vice Principal, Ms. Shalini inspired the students with her words of wisdom.

International Corruption Day and World Soil Day were recently observed in Presidium Hisar. A special assembly was presented by the students of grade 1 in which they talked about World Soil Day wherein they shared their views on soil and its conservation. Students also created awareness to conserve our mother earth and save our soil to protect our planet. They also discussed about International Anti-Corruption Day in which students talked about its consequences and how we can eradicate it in every manner. They discussed about the serious problems and threats posed by corruption to the stability and security of societies, undermining the institutions and values of democracy, ethical values and justice and jeopardizing sustainable development.

NAVY DAY: SALUTING GUARDIANS OF THE SEA WITH A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

Navy day is observed every year to celebrate the achievements, and role of the naval force in protecting and guarding the country. It pays an ode to the strength and bravery of the Indian Navy who won the Indo-Pak war in 1971. Under the ‘Operation Trident’, the Indian Navy attacked Pakistan naval base on December 4, 1971. Navy Day was celebrated in Presidium Hisar with a special assembly. A short speech emphasizing the history of Indian Navy filled the young hearts with ecstasy, pride and honour. It was followed by a short quiz to enhance the knowledge of students about the India Navy. The observance of Navy Day also raised desire in the young minds to opt Navy as a career and serve the motherland.

‘The constitution is for all of us to live together, A common life, We need for each other’. Constitution Day also known as “Samvidhan Divas” was recently celebrated at Presidium Hisar with a special assembly. The leaders of tomorrow highlighted the significance of celebrating the Constitution Day. Students discussed how the constitution gives us the power of living with freedom. Through wonderful speeches, the democratic characteristics of the constitution was told to everyone while talking about the values of secular, sovereign and republic state. At the end of the assembly, students took a pledge to always respect and honor the document guaranteeing our freedom and liberty.

YOUNG PRESIDIANS LEARN LIFE LESSONS AT STORY TELLING COMPETITION

Storytelling is one of the oldest art forms that helps to build confidence, enhance speaking skills and stimulate one’s imagination. Keeping this in mind, a storytelling competition was recently organised for the students of grades Nursery and Prep. students displayed excellent memory and recapitulation skills. All were transported into a different world altogether with beautiful props being used. The vocabulary and voice modulations encompassed the wonderful essence of the stories and the students also learned moral values at the end of each story.

FUTURE FEST 2018: AN AMALGAMATION OF TALENT AND CREATIVITY

Future Fest 2018 of Presidium Hisar is an amalgamation of talent, artistry and creativity of students and staff. The annual gala was recently held at the auditorium of Guru Jambeshwar University. Honourable Chairperson of Presidium Mrs. Sudha Gupta and other dignitaries graced the event and performed the lamp lighting ceremony. The event included wonderful performances on Ganesh Vandana, Krishna Leela, Western Bonanza and folk dances of India. The highlight of the event was the brilliant showcase of Saadat Hasan Manto’s play ‘Toba Tek Singh’. The live band performance of the Presidium School Song was appreciated with a thunderous round of applause. The event also comprised of Chairperson Honours ceremony where Mrs. Sudha Gupta awarded the meritorious students.
