TALENT HUNT COMPETITION GIVES WINGS TO PRESIDIANS’ TALENTS

Students have an ocean of hidden talents in them. In the bid to give wings to students to pursue their dreams and bring out their hidden talents, Presidium organized the Talent Hunt Competition in the school premises. This competition helped students to nurture their intrinsic qualities and remove the fear of stage, which helps in personality development. Students of grade 4 and 5 showcased their hidden talents with a feeling of optimum utilization of the opportunity given to them. They participated enthusiastically in the event and displayed their talents in diverse fields like poem recitation, classical and contemporary dance, story-telling, mono act, etc. Students were greatly admired and appreciated for their performances.

DUSSEHRA: PRESIDIANS SHED LIGHT ON VICTORY OF GOOD OVER EVIL!

Presidians celebrated the festival of victory of good over evil in our school with a lot of religious zeal. A spectacular one-act Ramlila was staged by students of grade 1 in which they presented the scenes from the exile of Rama from Ayodhya followed by his victory over Ravana. Presidians were dressed as Rama, Lakshmana, Sita, Hanuman, Ravana etc and enacted some scenes from the epic and a model of Ravana was displayed on the stage. The students spoke on the significance of the festival and how it is celebrated in the country. They danced on a song and everyone enjoyed the serene atmosphere. The students interpreted fact that pride can be a reason for collapse for an intellectual person.

PRESIDIANS HEAD ON A CLEANLINESS DRIVE THIS GANDHI JAYANTI

In the honour of Gandhi Jayanti, Presidium organized a special assembly with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotism. Students shared inspiring anecdotes from the life of Gandhiji, his freedom struggle, his role in helping us win our independence. This year it’s 150th birth anniversary of Gandhiji and the country associates it with cleanliness. Presidians of grades 5 to 8 voluntarily participated in a rally organized under Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat Abhiyan Programme. The rally focused on fulfilling the dream of Mahatma Gandhi upon clean and green India. Slogans like ‘Green City Clean City, My Dream City’, ‘Bapu Ka Ek Hee Sapna, Swachh Aur Sundar Ho Bharat Apna’ were narrated by our leaders of tomorrow. The rally went from school to town park. Students cleaned the park with brooms and cleared all the scattered wrappers and papers.

STORYREADING COMPETITION TRANSCENDS ALL INTO A WORLD OF FANTASIES

Reading is important because if you can read you can learn anything about everything and everything about anything. Boosting reading skills has been a key part of enhancing a child’s mental development. It is the stories that give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our physical world and into the land of fairies, dragons and wishing trees. To enhance the confidence and speaking skills of the students, Presidium organized an English Story Reading Competition for the students of grade 1 to 3. The young participants made effective use of facial expressions, gestures and voice modulation. Enthusiasm and passion of the students were also witnessed by the teachers and judges. The evaluation criteria focused on confidence, clarity, voice modulation, audibility, presentation.

Dance is a fantastic way to lose yourself in the vibrating rhythm of the music. Every dance performance is unique as every dancer is a unique being throbbing with life. Presidians of grade nursery and prep danced their way into the hearts of the audience comprising of parents, students, and teachers. The proud parents of the students witnessed the enthusiasm and energy of the vibrant students as they enthralled everyone with their performances. The day ended with appreciating the efforts of students and the parents followed by the Prize distribution.

हिंदी दिवस: प्रेसीडीअंस ने हिंदी भाषा का महत्व बखूबी दर्शाया

राष्ट्रभाषा हिंदी के महत्व- को दर्शाने के लिए बगला रोड़ स्थित प्रिसीडियम विद्यालय के प्राँगण में 4 सितंबर 2019 को ’हिन्दी दिवस’ पर एक विशेष सभा का आयोजन किया गया। सभा का शुभारम्भ सुविचार के साथ किया गया। इसके बाद विद्यार्थियों द्वारा समाचार, भाषण, कविता व प्रश्नोत्तरी के माध्यम से हिंदी के महत्त्व पर प्रकाश डाला गया। बच्चों ने मंच पर हिंदी के महान कवियों और साहित्यकारों के किरदार निभाकर सब का मन मोह लिया। इस अवसर पर स्कूल की प्रधानाचार्या ‘श्रीमती रागिनी मनसुखानी’ ने शानदार सभा आयोजित करने के लिए विद्यार्थियों को बधाई दी। उन्होंने कहा कि हमें हमारी मातृभाषा का सम्मान करना चाहिए। हमें हिन्दी का प्रयोग गर्व के साथ करना चाहिए। उन्होंने सभा में उपस्थित सभी को हिन्दी दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ दी।

Teaching is the noblest of all professions which is also the creator of all other professions. It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge. It is rightly said that appreciation is the biggest motivator, so with this belief, Presidium organized a special ceremony, Chairperson’s Honours Ceremony 2019 to felicitate the magical artists of every classroom, the teachers. It was led by our Honourable Chairperson, a proficient educator and a leader par excellence, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. The teachers were humbly honoured with prestigious trophies and certificates of recognition, for their selfless dedication and enhancing the lives of young children who are the leaders of tomorrow. In all, fifteen teachers were awarded from Presidium, Hisar. The event will always be etched in the memory of the teachers’ as it is a platform which recognizes their efforts and motivates them to perform in the best possible manner.

Presidium, Hisar celebrated Teacher’s Day with zeal and zest on September 5, 2019. There was an unusual excitement in the School atmosphere which was quite contagious. The students of grade 10 took over the duties of the teachers for the day. A special morning assembly was held in which the students paid homage to their loving teachers through poems and speeches. There was a special celebration for teachers which included foot tapping dances, interesting games with many prizes. The Principal, Ms. Ragni Mansukhani, addressing the entire school, lauded the entire staff for their exemplary contribution to the School. The Principal appreciated the sincere efforts of the teachers in playing a catalytic role in the holistic development of every student. Addressing the teachers on the occasion, she extolled the role of teachers in a student’s life.

The month of September marks an important international event - The International Literacy
Day’. The special assembly for the month of September was organized by the students of Grade 9 to educate all about the importance of literacy in one’s life. The assembly dealt with the reason and theme of celebrating International Literacy Day 2019 that is ‘Literacy and Multilingualism’. Embracing linguistic diversity in education and literacy development. Students presented a play to create the awareness on Importance of Literacy. To reinforce and assimilate the knowledge gained, an open quiz was conducted which made the environment very lively and interesting.

ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES PORTRAYED BEST AT POSTER MAKING COMPETITION

Poster is an artistic work, a less conventional way to present ideas. To bring out the creative expression of the students and also to gauge their awareness quotient, a Poster Making Competition was organized in Presidium School, Hisar for grades 4 and 5. The themes taken up for the above were ‘Women Safety’ ‘Save Water’ ‘Save Wildlife’ ‘Save Electricity’ and most importantly ‘Keep your city clean’. Students participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm and made very beautiful posters which gave the message of saving the important assets of nature for our future generations. It was a great opportunity to watch these young minds trying to create their ideas of a better environment on paper. The aim of this competition was not merely to see the creative aspect but also to trigger the thought process of the children and sensitize them towards these burning issues.
