The premises of Presidium, Hisar brightened up with utmost joy and positivity as the students joined back after the completion of blissful summer vacation. With the urge to explore more and deliver to the best of their abilities, our super-energetic Presidians rushed to their classrooms to restart the academic session.

It takes a big heart and passion to shape children's minds! To acknowledge the contribution of our teachers towards building a bright future of our country, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, our honourable Chairperson, took up a noble initiative of appreciating such mentors through the event 'Chairperson Honours for Teachers'. A great visionary and a proficient educator, Mrs. Gupta believes that a teacher's influence goes far beyond the classrooms and schools. Thus, in order to applaud these selfless mentors, she honoured them with special trophies and certificates of recognition. Receiving such a note of appreciation for their sincere efforts, hardwork and contributions, our teachers felt more inspired to add their best in the lives of their students.

‘Education can be transformed only by educating the educator and not merely by creating a new pattern, a new system of action’.

With this aim to transform the teachers, a seven day long teachers’ training program was conducted at Presidium, Hisar. To empower our teachers, the trainers Ms. Shalini Choudhary, Ms. Poonam Philips, Ms. Arvinder Pal Kaur and Ms. Shruti Mehta provided a variety of settings and opportunities to grapple concrete educational issues and concerns related to students. In an atmosphere of reflection and introspection, 31 teachers from Presidium, Hisar were engaged in various activities including ice breakers and warm up exercises to enable them to know each other better and also to understand the importance of communication.

To awaken the craft of teaching teachers were trained in preparing concept maps, designing worksheets and knowing learning gaps. The training strengthened our dedicated teacher's belief that, ‘Teaching is not just a service, job or profession, it is a passion for life.’

Presidium believes that learning is not limited to the doors of classroom. We encourage our students to take part in co-curricular activities all year round, especially during summer vacations. Driven by this aim, Presidium, Hisar organized a summer camp for its students, who got a golden opportunity to tap their inner potentials, shed their inhibitions and explore themselves under the expert guidance.

Plethora of activities were organised in the camp which aimed at enhancing their confidence, imagination, creativity and endurance. Students chose various indoor and outdoor activities like Cricket, Basket Ball, Taekwondo, Skating, Swimming, Art and Craft, Englishpedia, Dance and Music. Students were given specialized coaching and were trained for the game of their choice. There was also another section of Englishpedia classes that included skits, role plays, storytelling and group discussions. The young orators learnt to speak on stage with poise and confidence.

Summer camp provides the students with hands-on-experience which enhanced their holistic development. To sum up the day, it would be right to say that the summer camp may have ended but its fond memories will stay forever.

Summer holidays are always a means of rejuvenation and relaxation. It becomes fun time for students which begins with the last bell ringing in school before vacations as they get ready to enjoy the summer retreat. A special assembly was conducted on the last working day of school where they participated in the assembly and shared some great tips on do's and don'ts for a healthier and enjoyable summer vacations. The assembly became even more exciting when a class party was organized for all Grades where students decorated their classrooms, brought lip-smacking food and shared a wonderful treat with their classmates. Their vibrant faces were shining bright as it was time to take a break from their regular activities and spend time with their families. They parted happily with a promise to abide by the do's and don’ts discussed in assembly and come back energized with more dynamism and vitality after summer vacations.

With this pleasant thought in mind, Presidium, Hisar organised an Intra-class Poem Recitation competition for Grade Nursery to III.

Students participated in the competition with great enthusiasm and exhibited the best of their talents and abilities. Their enthralling performances added to the serenity of the school atrium. The excitement and spirit of a healthy competition could be seen on their faces throughout the competition. The day concluded with a cheerful note where the judges appreciated and applauded all the students for their wonderful performances.

Such competitions are a platform for young talents to develop confidence for speaking fluently and coherently.

With the objective of developing communication skills and promote critical thinking among students, Presidium, Hisar organized an Inter-class English Declamation competition on May 12, 2017.

The first round was conducted in each class wherein the students were shortlisted for the final round. The finalists presented their views on given topics. The competition witnessed a healthy and interesting competition with dexterous articulation between participants.  Their confidence, enthusiasm and alertness while participating in the competition was indeed impressive. Such competitions enhance public speaking skills, oratory skills and eloquence in students.

Mother’s love is the fuel that nourishes her child and make him/her to do the impossible.

Mother’s day is celebrated to show respect and express gratitude towards our mothers. They have always played a special role in each of our lives. Their unconditional love, support and the feeling of a warn and secure blanket around us is unmatched.

To celebrate this day of love, on 12th May 2017, students of Presidium Hisar, conducted a special assembly with much fervour and joy. They put up a great show expressing their love for mothers. They shared their thoughts showcasing their gratitude towards mothers.  A lovely performance was presented on the importance of Mothers by the tiny tots, followed by a beautiful song “Mumma..Pyaari Maaa oo Maa”. The atrium was filled with tears of joy among children.

Students applauded with joy and committed to the words of our  Vice Principal, Mrs. Shalini Choudhary to pay gratitude to their mother and respect them forever.

The assembly was summed up with a beautiful quote, 'Mother is the name for the God in the lips and hearts of children'.

Edwin Arnold has called Buddha, the ‘light of Asia’. Buddha’s message has travelled far and wide and captured the hearts of billions of people both within and outside India.

 On May 10th 2017, Buddha Purnima was celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Buddha at  Presidium School, Hisar.

Being the most sacred Buddhist festival, students also shared the importance of the festival of Buddha Purnima and how it is celebrated around the continent of Asia. The campus  buzzed with excitement and joy . The programme culminated with skit organised by the students highlighting his preaching. The skit with the social message stole the show. Vice Principal Ms Shalini Chaudhary  gave the message of peace and harmony to the students and urged them to follow the teachings of Mahatma Buddha.
