“Freedom is the colour of red. It is saturated with the blood of those who fought to attain it, and it will continue to be coloured by the blood of those who fight to protect it.” - Richelle E. Goodrich
Presidium celebrated Independence Day to remember with pride the commitment and contribution of the brave individuals who sacrificed their lives for the cause of India. The celebrations started with Flag Hoisting; students were told that irrespective of our culture, civilization, caste, creed, and religion, the most important and binding factor is our National Flag. The Tricolor symbolizes courage, truth, and prosperity. The flag hoisting was followed by the National Anthem. Voices shouting in unison “Vande Mataram,” “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Jai Hind” etc. enhanced the patriotic feeling in the hearts of all present there. Students were made aware of the significance of “Independence Day '' and about our great freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, and others. Presidians also sang and danced to patriotic tunes. The school Principal enlightened the students with her words and told them that the real meaning of freedom lies in not the absence of fear of doing anything but facing all problems of life with courage.
