Presidium nurtured students to break the silence when they witness violence - violence against women and girls which is a grave violation of human rights. It negatively affects women’s general well-being and prevents women from fully participating in society. Our senior students conducted a special assembly to throw light on how to prevent violence. The students put up an empathetic act depicting how women are discriminated in several parts of the world and how it impacts the whole society. Violence against women continues to be an obstacle in achieving equality, development, peace as well as the fulfillment of women and girls’ human rights. The change will happen only if we change ourselves and henceforth respect women, educate them, give equal opportunity and nullify gender discrimination from domestic horizon to corporate arena.
