Diwali, the festival of lights, came alive at Presidium when the whole school wore a festive look with pots, diyas, lanterns and rangoli adorning the reception and corridors of the school. A special assembly was conducted with great enthusiasm by the Presidians of grade 2. These sparkling stars talked about the significance of the festival, and how Diwali is celebrated. The scenes from the classic story of Ramayana were depicted by them through a play showing the birth of Lord Rama to his return to Ayodhya after his exile. The confident speakers also emphasized not to burn crackers and to celebrate ‘Environment Safe Diwali’. A scintillating dance performance by the students in the end added much exuberance and joy to the assembly.
