The holistic development of children of any nation is in the hands of teachers. School education
has a symbiotic relationship with teacher education as teachers are the frontline providers of
quality education. Thus, teacher training workshops were recently organized under the aegis of the School Principal, Ms. Ragni Mansukhani, as an initiative to play a role in the capacity development of teachers. A “Learning through Theatre” was facilitated by our Principal, Ms. Ragni Mansukhani wherein theatre was used as an effective teaching-learning tool. It helped teachers to imbibe critical thinking in real-life situations. Another workshop was facilitated by Ms. Shruti Mehta, Academic Head, on “Learning indicators and Learning outcomes” at elementary stage. Teachers were briefed about the learning outcomes and indicators and through group tasks and were engaged in outlining the learning outcomes of the different topics that they teach. Technology is an integral part of teaching these days and Ms. Swati Chawla, ICT teacher, conducted a training to enable teachers to be sufficiently prepared, confident and competent in making full use of the benefits of technology in their classrooms which would further help in development of students. A workshop on Art and Craft was also organized by Ms. Smita Prajapati, Art and Craft teacher, for guidance in preparing the teaching aids of different teaching subjects. The workshops worked as a therapy for all and the teachers were reenergized and excited to unleash the new learning in their classrooms.
