In order to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect in India by the Indian physicist, Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman, in the year 1930, 28th February is celebrated as National Science Day every year. The theme of this year was “Science for the People and the People for Science”. To commemorate this day, a special Assembly was conducted at Presidium Hisar. The main objective of celebrating this day is to help in creating science awareness in students and to promote active involvement of both students and teachers in science related activities and to enable students to know about the latest developments in the fields of science and technology. Along with National Science Day, the leaders of tomorrow also celebrated the auspicious festival of Maha Shivaratri. It is one of the most important festivals of Hindus. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over India. They enthusiastically participated and recited poems related to science. It was followed by speech presentation and GK quiz. Principal of the school, Ms. Ragni Mansukhani applauded the staff and students for their efforts to make everyone spiritually and scientifically energized and enlightened.
